I am not sure about hotels...I think it really depends on what area you want to stay in. Regardless, everything is easily accessible by the underground. As for sights, there is so much to see and do. London Tower, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, St. Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace. There are so amazing outdoor markets and shopping areas. Take a look through a travel book and if you want some specific ideas, let me know.
